IANTD QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM

The objective of the IANTD Quality Assurance Program is to establish a minimum level of quality provided by each and every Member/Instructor of the IANTD system, for public safety and satisfaction. Without a Quality Assurance Program, IANTD cannot assure the uncompromised credibility of their programs. To achieve this, IANTD must monitor and enforce IANTD Standards and Procedures with fair, honest and ethical intentions in all venues.

Being in good standing with IANTD as a Facility or Professional is the key element to be authorized to conduct IANTD Programs at any level. To insure that IANTD's consumers are working or planning to work with an IANTD Facility or Professional in good stand IANTD has a list has a list of all Facilities and Professionals who are not qualified and/or authorized to offer services or programs under IANTD.

As a consequence of being SUSPENDED the IANTD Facilities and/or IANTD Professionals may no longer represent themselves as an IANTD Members or affiliate of IANTD and may not teach any IANTD program. Any violation during the suspension period will result in immediately expulsion.
IANTD takes these matters very seriously therefore the consumers can find a complete list of suspended members here.
List of IANTD Facilities and/or IANTD Professionals SUSPENDED and not in good standing with IANTD. These members can't conduct IANTD Programs of any level nor represent themselves as IANTD Facilities and/or Professionals for the period here determinate.

A International Association of Nitrox & Technical Divers foi fundada em 1985 para atender às necessidades de muitos mergulhadores. Nessa época o uso de misturas gasosas para o mergulho e gases de descompresão estava limitado, oficialmente, aos militares e aos mergulhadores comerciais.
Em 1985 Dick Rutkowski aposentou-se do cargo de supervisor de mergulho da National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) e, juntamente com outros líderes da comunidade de mergulho, fundou a International Association of Nitrox Divers. O objetivo era apresentar os benefícios do Nitrox para diversos cenários de mergulho e ensinar o seu uso seguro em mergulhos recreativos e descompressivos.
Em 1992 sob a liderença de Tom Mount, a organização cresceu para se tornar a principal agência de treinamento de mergulho técnico do mundo, oferecendo cursos sobre todos os aspectos do mergulho esportivo. O nome foi então mudado para International Association of Nitrox & Technical Divers, IANTD, para melhor refletir a ênfase no mergulho técnico
